Ścieżka dźwiękowa z filmu „Zappa” na winylu już w przyszłym roku

Album „ZAPPA Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” obejmuje aż 68 utworów z przepastnego katalogu twórczości Franka Zappy, od jego debiutanckiego albumu „Freak Out!” z 1966 r. nagranego z Mothers of Invention, po ostatnie wydawnictwo artysty, orkiestralny „The Yellow Shark” z 1993 roku.

Ścieżka dźwiękowa zawiera m.in. 12 niewydanych wcześniej kompozycji Zappy, utwory na żywo (w tym z Whisky A Go-Go w 1968 czy Fillmore East w 1971 u boku Johna Lennona i Yoko Ono), a także utwory z jego wytwórni Bizarre oraz Straight Records takie jak „No Longer Umpire” (z debiutanckiego albumu Alice Cooper z 1969 roku) czy „The Captain’s Fat Theresa Shoes” (z albumu „Permanent Damage” The GTO). Na płycie znajdują się również dwie klasyczne kompozycje Edgara Varese'a i Igora Strawińskiego, których twórczość stanowiła dla Zappy źródło inspiracji.

Wraz z premierą cyfrowego wydania „ZAPPA Original Motion Picture Soundtrack”, Zappa Records/UMe uruchomiło preorder fizycznych wersji albumu: potrójnego CD (premiera 19 lutego 2021) oraz zestawu 5LP (premiera 7 maja 2021). Wersja winylowa będzie dostępna zarówno na czarnym 180-gramowym winylu, jak i w limitowanej edycji „smoke”. Dostępna będzie również edycja 2LP na przezroczystym winylu.
